CHRISTOPHER J. JALBERT CARIBOU - Christopher J. Jalbert, 25, died unexpectedly Sept. 8, 2008, at a Caribou hospital. He was born March 18, 1983, in Caribou, the son of the late Anthony and Sarah (Jalbert) Weddle. Chris attended Caribou schools and was employed as a software tester at ATX, Caribou. He is survived by his adoptive grandfather, Gerald Jalbert of Caribou; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Edward and Margaret Jalbert of Shawnee, Kan., and James and Kim Jalbert of Caribou; two nieces, Lexie and Hailie; a nephew, Brady; many aunts, uncles and cousins. Chris was predeceased by his parents; and his adoptive grandmother, Dolores Jalbert. Friends may call 9-11 a.m. Thursday at Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou, where a service will be held 11 a.m. with the Very Rev. Jean-Paul Labrie officiating. I can't explain why a guy like this would be taken from us. I got the call from my Dad saying that he had died. I didn't understand when he said Chris Jalbert has died. I remember saying Chris Jalbert who and then it hit. I still didn't believe him I thought it was a rumor or a different Chris Jalbert. It wasn't until I called Tom and then I broke down for the first time that day.
